Originally formed in 1959 under the name Engine Applications with subsequent name changes to RTD Swan in 1973 and Swan Generators in 1986, the company has produced generating sets with the Swan brand name since that time.

Our range of plant extends from 20 kVA to 2200 kVA and utilises prime movers well known throughout the world. In addition to the standard range outlined in product ratings we also custom build generators to suit all applications, client preferences and specifications.

Our company has the in-house expertise to handle complete turnkey contracts from conception and design to manufacture, installation and commissioning.

After sales service is a very important part of our business and we are able to offer maintenance contracts and on-site service and repair facilities, not just for Swan manufactured equipment but also for generators produced by others.

Our client base includes all major utilities, water authorities, hospitals, rail industry, telecommunications, industrial and commercial establishments. We export to many parts of the globe including Europe, West and East Africa, Middle and Far East, Indian Ocean territories and South America.

Swan Generators manufacture to QA standard BS EN ISO 9002 and have a continual product development program to encompass all new technologies whilst retaining traditional tried and tested designs. Our company is a founder member of the industry trade association AMPS (The Association of Manufacturers of Power Generating Systems) and is active in both administrative and technical issues.
